Research Interests Dr. Lee works on several areas of biostatistical applications. One area is collaborative research in microbiology. The microflora of the vaginal environment significantly affects the host's general state of health by acting as a biological barrier to infectious agents. In the past few years we have developed statistical methods that predict the interactions between microorganisms within the vaginal ecosystem. The other area is research on statistical methods related to the analysis of longitudinal blood pressure measurements, the relationship of blood pressure to cardiovascular death, and the analysis of intra-person variation in patient compliance and blood pressure control. Dr. Lee also works on environmental and genetic epidemiologic research. Dr. Lee is the Editor-in-Chief of an international journal, Lifetime Data Analysis, which is devoted to statistical methods and applications for time-to-event data.
