This year more than a million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer, and over 500,000 will die from the disease. Yet, based on what we already know about cancer's causes, as many as half of these deaths could be prevented–and for a fraction of the cost of treatment.
We are dedicated to understanding and communicating
the enormous impact achievable through prevention. Based at Brigham
and Women's Hospital in Boston, we draw on strengths in public health, medicine, and the expertise of leading cancer researchers worldwide.
